Snowflake Science

Last Friday, the scientists in Miss Gibbons and Miss Tita's classroom grew their very own snowflakes.

Step 1: Form a 6-sided snowflake with a pipe cleaner

Step 2: Attach wire to the snowflake and attach the wire to a popsicle stick

Step 3: Scoop 2 tablespoons of Borax into a clear cup

Step 4: Add hot water to the the cup and stir

Step 5: Place the snowflake into the Borax and water solution

Step 6: Watch the crystals form
